Caring For Your New Glasses and Lenses
To best clean your glasses, we recommend using dish soap (Dawn liquid for example) and lukewarm water to gently rinse your glasses under the faucet. Begin by placing a small drop of the cleaner onto the lens, and using your clean fingers gently coat both sides of the lens with the soap. Then rinse the lens under a gently running tap, washing away all of the soap. Immediately after, use a lens cleaning cloth to gently pat dry the lenses and frames. If you have a metal frame, it is especially important that you dry the frame well each time you clean it.
Avoid cleaning your lenses without rinsing them or spraying them with water first, as dirt and dust can be ground into the lens coatings this way. Microfiber cleaning cloths are best and can be washed in the washing machine.
Never use Windex, alcohol, or chemical cleaning sprays on your eyeglass lenses as they cause the coatings to patch and peel.
